In today’s episode, I do a side by side comparison of the BTECH DMR-6×2 dual band radio, and the Anytone AT-D868UV dual band DMR HT. These radios look almost exactly the same from the outside, but the programming menus are a bit different.
Do you think the codeplug from one will load into the other? Watch the video to find out!

Latest Firmware is 1.04 released last week I believe.
This video was recorded a month ago. As time goes on, you will see new firmware versions released continually, but it doesn’t make the process to update that firmware, which is shown in this video, any less accurate.
Correct, Oren. I just loaded 1.04 the other day.
I just put this together last week to site a few of the differences as well.
I’ll keep it updated as time progresses.

I put this chart together last week to show the feature differences between these Anytone based DMR radios.

BTech has the ability to act as a simplex DMR repeater. It will relay incoming DMR signals when set up. That’s what those two additional menu items are for.
Correct. The point of the video was to show the differences between the 2 radios.
Will the Btech 6×2 scan for color codes and CTCSS tones? I have not seen anything in the Manual
No, I haven’t seen that feature.
